Before you type anything
Three things to have ready, because missing any of them turns a two-minute quote into a two-day conversation:
- The document you actually need. Not "an ID" — a state ID, a Real ID, a licence, a passport. The use decides it. See the price list for what each one is for.
- Your details, written out. Full name, date of birth, address. Write them once in a notes app and paste. Typing them live is where spelling errors come from.
- A photo that will survive a crop. Spec below.
Then search the handle in Telegram and open a direct message. Not a group, not a channel comment thread. Groups are for browsing, DMs are for buying.
The photo spec
Portraits are the highest-failure part of any order and the one buyers blame the vendor for. Get it right and nothing else goes wrong.
| Do | Don't |
|---|---|
| Plain wall behind you | A window, a bookshelf, a busy room |
| Face the light, no shadow across the eyes | Overhead light casting a brow shadow |
| Phone at chest height, straight on | Selfie angle from above |
| Neutral expression, eyes open | Smiling, teeth, squinting |
| Shoulders in frame | Tight crop at the chin |
| Natural skin, no filter | Beauty filter, smoothing, snap filters |
| Glasses if you normally wear them | Sunglasses, hat, hood |
Send two. One straight on, one slightly different. It costs you nothing and gives the layout room to place a portrait that sits correctly inside the frame.
Write one complete message
Not "hi". Not "you there?". One message with six lines:
- Document type
- State or country
- Full name exactly as it should print
- Date of birth
- Full address, real street, no PO box
- Photo, two shots
That message gets a firm quote and a proof in one reply. A "hi" gets a reply that asks for six things, and you have spent a round trip learning nothing. Median first reply is 11 minutes inside hours — most of that is spent waiting for people to send a second message with the details they left out.
Reading the proof
The proof is a flattened image of your card with your details in place. It is the last cheap moment in the order. After production starts, a fix costs a reprint and a week.
Check in this order:
- Name, character by character, including middle initial
- Date of birth — day, month, year, and that the layout orientation matches it (vertical for under 21)
- Expiry year — must follow that state's issue term from your issue date
- Address — abbreviation style, apartment format, ZIP against the city
- Class code on a licence
- Portrait — crop, scale, position, no squashed aspect ratio
- Star placement on a Real ID
If something is off, say which line and what it should read. "The expiry says 2031, Texas issues 8 years from 2024 so it should be 2032" is a useful message. "Looks wrong" is not.
Paying
Half up front, half on tracking. That is the only split worth accepting from a vendor you have not used. It caps your exposure at half and gives the vendor a reason to actually ship.
Pay in BTC, ETH, USDT or LTC for 5% off. Card and bank rails exist but add friction and a paper trail. Send the transaction hash in the chat the moment you have paid — do not make anyone chase it.
After dispatch
You get dispatch photos and a tracking number. Paste the number into the carrier's own site before you pay the balance. A number that resolves to a real collection scan is proof of shipment. A number that resolves to nothing is a string.
Keep the envelope and any insert for 14 days. Reprints need the original packaging photographed in most cases, and it costs nothing to leave it in a drawer.
The six mistakes that add days
- Opening with "hi" and no details
- A filtered or overhead-angle photo
- Sending the DOB in the wrong format, so day and month get transposed
- A PO box or a fake ZIP that does not match the city
- Paying before the proof, then asking for a change
- Not reading the proof at all, then opening a dispute about a spelling that was visible
